Abstract
Using evolved pyrrolysyl-tRNA synthetase–tRNAPyl CUA pairs, L-phenylalanine, p-iodo-L-phenylalanine and p-bromo-L-phenylalanine have been genetically incorporated into proteins at amber mutation sites in E. coli. Keywords
