Quantitation of Aortic Valvular Insufficiency by Catheter Thoracic Aortography

Abstract
Catheter thoracic aortography is an effective method for the demonstration and rough quantitation of aortic valvular insufficiency. Observations in a series of 273 cases thus examined are presented with a description of the technic employed. The authors believe that the competent aortic valve does not permit significant left ventricular radiopaque reflux under the conditions of the procedure employed. The quantitation of aortic valvular insufficiency is discussed.
