Studies of the Delayed Neutrons. II. Chemical Isolation of the 56-Second and the 23-Second Activities

Abstract
The 23-second delayed neutron activity is found to follow the chemistry of iodine, and the 56-second delayed neutron activity is found to follow the chemistry of bromine. Comparison with known beta-emitters of like half-lives suggests that the neutron-emitting nuclei may be Xe137 and Kr87.
