Abstract
The Adamkiewicz-Hopkins tryptophane reaction is intensified by Cu to a max., beyond which additional Cu does not affect it; Cu is necessary for tryptophane demonstration in proteins with glyoxylic acid and conc. H2SO4. A quantitative colorimetric reaction for (free) tryptophane based on the A.-H. reaction with the addition of Cu is described.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
