A Federal–Provincial Committee on Huronian Stratigraphy has been organized to review the present knowledge of the Huronian Supergroup, to apply a suitable stratigraphic nomenclature, and to describe type and reference sections for formations and groups. A nomenclature has been recommended and is stated in this note. Type and reference sections will be measured during the next two years.
