Abstract
We investigate the effect of parallel velocity on the formation of a Kondo resonance when an atom is scattered against a surface. It is shown that the structure of the Kondo resonance depends sensitively on the parallel velocity of the atom. It is shown that this dependence can be probed by studying charge transfer in atom-surface scattering experiments. Keywords
