Abstract
Using existing magnetoresistivity data and assuming that the occurrence of negative magnetoresistivity is a result of the presence of localized magnetic moments in impurity-banded semiconducting material, a method for deriving values of local moments is presented. The concentration and temperature dependence of the moments is also estimated and compared with the Anderson criteria for the occurrence of magnetic moments in conductors. Keywords
