The bobble‐head doll syndrome

Abstract
Two patients with a 2- to 3/sec. bobbing tremor of the head and trunk are presented. The tremor could be inhibited voluntarily for brief periods and disappeared on intended movement and at complete rest. A large cyst in the region of the 3rd ventricle as well as marked enlargement of the lateral ventricles were noted in both patients. The descriptive name "bobble-head doll syndrome" is suggested.
