Seborrheic Dermatitis and Butterfly Rash in AIDS

Abstract
To the Editor: The well-known cutaneous manifestations of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), Kaposi's sarcoma, and progressive herpes simplex infection were recognized in the earliest descriptions of the syndrome.1 , 2 The otherwise extreme rarity of these skin conditions makes them conspicuous complications of and markers for the syndrome in the affected populations.
