Investigations on Malt Amylase. I. Viscometrical Determination of alpha-Amylase.

Abstract
A relation connecting the enzyme activity, the substrate conc., the specific viscosity and time has been applied in the examination of the reliability of the viscometric methods used by the author in the calculation of activity of [alpha]-amylase solns. The author demonstrates that when using his formula, the degradation of starch solns. of various concs, with the same a-amylase soln. results in the same values of enzymic activity.
