Moose were counted on sample strips, both from the air and by men on snowshoes, in a 40 square mile area of winter range in B. C. Aerial counts were made at 200 ft. altitude and strip width was detd. by angles. Inaccuracies of the aerial method are noted. The moose population was calculated as 2000 from the ground and as 2098 from the air.
