Abstract
Mutual trapping of the fundamental and second-harmonic waves propagating in a material with cascaded second-order nonlinearity is investigated. Formation of solitonlike waves under a variety of excitation conditions is numerically observed, consistent with the robustness hypothesis of solitons. Keywords
