Abstract
The observation of the magnetostriction constants λ100 and λ111 were made for the single crystals(Zn x Fe1−x ) (Li(0.5−0.5x)Fe(1.5+0.5x))O4 (0≤x≤0.48) and (MnηFe1−η) (Mg1−ηFe1+η)O4 (0.10≤η≤0.22), by observing the shift of resonance field with and without a concentrated load. The analysis of the results shows that, besides the dipolar interaction among ferric ions, one Fe3+ ion per unit formula in A site contributes to λ100 and λ111, 8.6×10−6 and 12.6×10−6, while in B site contributes to λ100 and λ111, −21.4×10−6 and −2.5×10−6, respectively.
