Observation of density fluctuations

Abstract
Long-wavelength density fluctuations are monitored by small-angle light scattering during the crystallization of hard colloidal spheres. These measurements demonstrate the coupling of the density, a conserved parameter, to the previously measured nonconserved crystal order parameter.Keywords
