Abstract
An acidic compound with strong and characteristic u.-v. absorption (maxima at 2625, 2700 and 2775 A.) was isolated in the form of its Ca salt from exudates of germinating spores of B. megaterium. The compound was identified as dipicolinic acid.Keywords
