The Polynuclear Aromatic Hydrocarbons in Cigarette-Smoke Condensate. II2

Abstract
With the use of methods previously described, the following polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, in addition to the 7 previously reported, were detected in cigarette-smoke condensate: chrysene, perylene, benzo[mno]-fluoranthene, benzo[j]fluoranthene, benzo[k]fluoranthene, 1,2-benz-fluorene, dibenz[a,b]anthracene, a methylbenzo[a]pyrene, benzo[c]-phenanthrene, an alkylfluoranthene, and an alkylchrysene. In addition, one heterocyclic compound, 1,8,9-perinaphthoxanthene, was identified. The concentrations of some of these compounds in cigarette-smoke condensate were determined.
