Immunochemical Quantitation of Human Transcortin

Abstract
Serum transcortin levels were measured by single radial immunodiffusion using a monospecific antihuman transcortin rabbit serum. The results of this direct determination closely correlate with those obtained indirectly by assessing the cortisol-binding properties of transcortin. This immunochemical method allows transcortin quantitation in the presence of cortisol excess and has the additional advantage of being temperature independent.
