Abstract
Failure of the parents to mourn after the sorrow of a stillbirth or neonatal death can result in dire consequences for the well-being of the family. Doctors and nurses should learn how to facilitate mourning and should accept the strange and sometimes bizarre forms this may take. When mourning is facilitated, the family is likely to adjust better to its bereavement. Keywords
