Abstract
Orius insidiosus (Say) and Nabis spp. were plant-shake sampled in Iowa soybeans from 1977 through 1979 to determine dispersion characteristics and to develop sampling plans. Iwao's regression procedure showed that O. insidiosus and nympha Nabis spp. populations consisted of groups of individuals that were slightly aggregated. Adult Nabis spp. populations existed as single individuals randomly distributed. Taylor's power law analysis confirmed these aggregation patterns. Sequential count plans suitable for population research and pest management survey were developed. Practical use of the count plans is discussed.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
