Abstract
The quenched random Ising chain is treated by a decimation transformation. An exact recursion relation is derived for the distribution of nearest-neighbor couplings and magnetic fields. Fixed distributions associated with Griffiths singularities and with the spin-glass state are explicitly exhibited. Keywords
