Hall effect of sliding condensate in NbSe3

Abstract
Hall measurements in the non-Ohmic regime show that σxy is independent of electric field E up to the uncertainty of the data (4%). The physical picture that emerges is one of highly mobile current-carrying excitations moving parallel to the chains with a mobility anisotropy of at least 103. The Fröhlich sliding model is consistent with the data. On the other hand, models which ascribe the non-Ohmicity to E-field generation of free carriers or to hot-electron effects are decisively excluded by the data.
