Abstract
2-Phenylindane-l,3-dione was shown to be an anticoagulant with a powerful and specific action on the blood prothrombin concn. Vit. K in large doses intraven. has an antagonistic effect on the prothrombin-reducing action. The action of the drug begins more quickly, and is more uniform and less prolonged than that of dicumarol. It has no definite effect on the concn. of Factor V.Keywords
