An unusual concentration of 99mTc-phosphates appeared in the gluteal area in bone scans of 3 patients who had recently had i.m. injections of Fe dextran complex. These cases indicate one more cause for extraosseous accumulation of these bone-seeking radiopharmaceuticals.
