Abstract
Measurements of the thermal conductivity of single crystals of zinc and cadmium have been taken between 2 and 20°k. The results show that a plot of WT against T 3 (where W is the thermal resistance) instead of being a straight line, has linear sections at high and at low temperatures, the slope at high temperatures being about three times that at low temperatures. This behaviour is shown to be connected with the very marked changes which occur in the values of the Debye θ.Keywords
