Abstract
The rotation‐vibration spectrum of a hindered rotator has been computed for a variety of hindering potentials of cubic symmetry. Spectra are displayed for potentials that are combinations of cubic harmonics up to sixth order for various potential strengths and temperatures. Agreement is found between the computed transition intensities for large hindering potentials and those given by the appropriate ``tunneling model.''Keywords
