Debye-Waller Factors in Rare-Gas Solids

Abstract
Mean-square amplitudes for inert-gas solids neon, argon, krypton, and xenon have been calculated as a function of temperature. The results are presented for the cases of zero pressure and constant volume. A nearest-neighbor (m6) Mie-Lennard-Jones potential was used, and lowest-order anharmonic contributions were taken into account by the frequency-shift method.
