Abstract
The rotational and vibrational populations of CN(X 2Σ+) produced by the reaction O(3P)+N2O(X 1Σ+)→CN(X 2Σ+)+NO(X 2Π) in H+CHBr3+N2O diffusion flames were probed by laser induced fluorescence. Rotational populations were thermalized at 300 K. The vibrational population was found to exhibit a maximum for v′′ = 4.Keywords
