Abstract
The differential cross section and the analyzing power for and elastic scattering have been measured at 15 and 17 MeV over the angular range . The data in the forward hemisphere have been analyzed with a standard optical model. A large depth and conventional geometry parameters for the spin-orbit potential have been found. The results of the present analysis are in general agreement with previous work involving polarized tritons scattered from heavy target nuclei and show important differences from investigations of the scattering of polarized helions on light nuclei.
