Dissociation Processes Produced in SbCl3, AsCl3 and PCl3 by Electron Impact

Abstract

The products of dissociation of Sb${\mathrm{Cl}}_3$, As${\mathrm{Cl}}_3$ and P${\mathrm{Cl}}_3$ by electron impact have been investigated. Ions of the types X$\mathrm{Cl}_3^{}{}_{}{}^{+}$, X$\mathrm{Cl}_2^{}{}_{}{}^{+}$, X${\mathrm{Cl}}^{+}$, ${\mathrm{X}}^{+}$, X$\mathrm{Cl}_2^{}{}_{}{}^{++}$, X${\mathrm{Cl}}^{++}$, ${\mathrm{X}}^{++}$ and ${\mathrm{Cl}}^{+}$ have been observed. The efficiencies of production of these ions for various electron energies have been investigated. The appearance potentials have been determined and a partial analysis of the results has been made.
