Elsewhere in this issue, a report from the Boston Collaborative Drug Surveillance Program presents findings that are in harmony with an earlier article from the same group to the effect that women of childbearing age who used oral contraceptives appeared to be twice as likely to have gallbladder disease as women of similar age who were non-users.1 In the present survey of post-menopausal women, it was found that the estimated relative risk of those who had taken estrogens for menopausal symptoms was 2.5 times that of a control group.
