Evaluation of Electronic Measurements of Hemagglutination for Quantitative Studies

Abstract
Summary: A method has been developed whereby the model B Coulter counter can be employed for counting free cells present in agglutinated samples. The method is valid over the entire range of agglutination and a wide range of serum concentrations. Instrument log probit assay curves are identical in slope and position to those obtained by hemocytometry. The method is reliable with anti-A and anti-B agglutination but has not been applied to measurements of agglutination in other blood group systems.
