Abstract
The lipolytic enzymes of G. mellonella and of pancreas are strongly contrasted by their activity on different substrates. The former is distinguished by its action on compounds of higher alcohols with lower fatty acids. More effective methods of extraction and preservation of the enzymes were descr. The influence of emulsifying agents on the activity of the enzymes was demonstrated. The activity of G. mellonella enzyme on the wax of Mycobacterium tuberculosis was a particular feature.
