Abstract
It is proved, by perturbation theory and by the method of Sudakov, that if two Regge poles with trajectories α1, α2 and signatures τ1, τ2 are exchanged, the resulting Regge branch point at j=α1+α21 appears only in partial-wave amplitudes of signature τ1τ2η, where η=1 if both Regge poles are fermions and η=+1 otherwise. An example is given from the case of proton-proton scattering.
