Abstract
The average [beta]-particle energy per dis-integration ([image][beta]) was calculated relative to the maximum B-particle energy (Eo). The ratio [image][beta]/EO is given in graphical form for all values of atomic number and [beta]-particle energy likely to be of medical or biological interest, for both negatrons and positrons. A table of the average [beta]-particle energy is given for some of the radioisotopes of current medical and biological interest. Keywords
