Energy Level at 31 Kev inAl28fromAl27(d,p)Al28Reaction

Abstract
The proton group previously assigned to the ground state of Al28 from the Al27(d,p)Al28 reaction has been found to be a doublet, the low energy member of which is ascribed to an excited state at 31.2±2.0 kev. The Q-value corresponding to the Al28 ground state has been measured as 5.494±0.010 Mev. The Q-value corresponding to the ground state of Mg25 in the Al27(d,α)Mg25 reaction is 6.694±0.010 Mev, and the first excited level in Mg25 is at 0.584±0.006 Mev.
