Fructosan, a Reserve Carbohydrate in Guayule, Parthenium argentatum Gray

Abstract
A polysaccharide was isolated from guayule which was identified upon analysis as a fructosan, apparently inulin. The fructosan content of stems and roots by colorimetric analysis ranged from 0.2 to 12%.
