Abstract
The diffusion of Au in Ag has been measured in the temperature range from 650 to 950°C, using Au198 as a tracer. The data indicate that the diffusion coefficient is given by the equation D=0.26 exp(−45 500/RT) cm2/sec. The fact that the activation energy for the diffusion of Au in Ag is identical to that for self‐diffusion in Ag is discussed briefly. Keywords
