Abstract
The polarographic detector for high performance liquid chromatography has been evaluated with respect to a model compound, N-nitrosodipropylamine (DPN), and composite mixtures of volatile and nonvolatile nitrosamines. The effect of electrode potential, drop time, drop size, pH, and flow rate has been investigated in the differential pulse and sampled DC modes. Plots of amount injected vs. peak height are linear over three-four decades of concentration with a lower limit of 0.8 ng.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
