Abstract
A method for detecting spikes in the EEG is described. A digital computer is used to perform a detailed analysis of abnormal spikes to obtain quantitative values for spike characteristics and to determine the parameter values to be used in a special-purpose spike detector. This detector is described together with application results. Keywords
