Collision-Induced Dissociations in the Mass Spectrum of Acetylene

Abstract
A number of collision‐induced dissociations in the mass spectrum of acetylene are reported. The pressure dependence of these transitions was investigated in the range from 2×10—7 to 3×10—6 mm of Hg. Relative cross sections are given and compared with the corresponding ones for dissociation by electron impact. A metastable transition corresponding to the reaction C2H+→C2++H was observed.
