Electron-Mirror Microscopy Study of BaTiO3 Surface Layers

Abstract
Electron‐mirror photomicrographs of the domain structure and topography of the surface of BaTiO3 single crystals are compared to those obtained by optical‐transmission microscopy. The results differentiate the domain structure of the bulk crystal from the domain structure of the surface layer and, in addition, indicate a maximum thickness of 0.7 μ for the surface layer.Keywords
