Abstract
It is shown that the low energy neutron beam can be polarized along the direction of the neutron beam using a longitudinally polarized proton filter. The polarizability of the neutron is nearly the same as in the case using the transversally polarized proton filter in the neutron energy region below 1 MeV and is higher in the energy region above 1 MeV. The difference of the polarizability between the two cases is estimated. Keywords
