Abstract
As compared with controls, significant numbers of sera from patients with active presumed histoplasmic chorioretinitis (12/51) and with active presumed toxoplasmic chorioretinitis (6/30) contained antibody to deoxyribonucleic acid as measured by bis-diazotized-benzidine (BDB) indirect hemagglutination. Thus it is suggested that autoimmune mechanisms may contribute to some level in these disorders, and further studies are indicated. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
