THE RATE OF GLYCOGENOLYSIS IN THE ISOLATED LIVERS OF SEVERAL SPECIES OF LABORATORY ANIMALS

Abstract
The rate of glycogenolysis in excised liver tissue kept at 37[degree]C. was much slower than generally believed. The most rapid rate was obtained with the rat followed in order by the dog, guinea pig, rabbit, and pigeon. In the last case, nearly 75% of the original was found after an incubation period of 72 hrs.
