Abstract

The advantages of the step photometer over the colorimeter are pointed out. With properly purified picric acid and use of filter S-53 the Jaffe reaction follows Beer''s Law even for very low concentrations of creatinine. A table is given for scale readings corresponding with cones, of creatinine in urine and blood when the described procedures are followed.
