Abstract
Relationships between Dalradian slate and grit formations at Dunkeld, Callander and Aberfoyle are discussed. It is concluded that whereas slates at Aberfoyle lie in the core of a primary fold (the Aberfoyle Anticline), those at Dunkeld lie on the limb of such a fold and are flanked by grits which are respectively younger and older than the slates. At Callander the slates occupy the core of a major synform which has folded already inverted beds. Keywords
