Abstract
Blair and Holland have reported preliminary measurements of the cross section for the reaction as a function of the neutron energy. Roberts et al. have measured the angular distribution of the tritons for a neutron energy of 270 kev. Assuming that the nonresonance part of the cross section is due entirely to -neutrons and that there is no accidental degeneracy of the resonance state, this state is shown to have spin . Experiments which might test the assumptions are discussed.
