Abstract
A direct comparison of mitochondria and bacteria in the living condition, as well as in permanent preparations, subjected to the same influences, and viewed side by side, reveals microchemical and tinctorial differences which can only be attributed to a fundamental dissimilarity in their chemical constitution.Keywords
