Abstract
Oxygen-13, a beta-delayed proton emitter, was produced by the reaction with 50-MeV protons. Two delayed-proton groups were observed originating from levels in at 8.90 and 9.48 MeV. The half-life of was determined to be 8.7±0.4 msec. The beta-decay energy was estimated to be 17.5±0.2 MeV on the basis of this half-life and the known values for the mirror nucleus.
