Abstract
The convergence and coalescence properties of a two‐electron wavefunction containing integral powers and exponential terms in have been investigated. Solutions were obtained for the singlet and triplet states for both integral and nonintegral values of the nuclear charge , and it is concluded that the manifold converges to a degenerate eigenvalue as for all .
