Nonexistence of 1sns Autoionizing States of H−

Abstract
The convergence and coalescence properties of a two‐electron wavefunction containing integral powers and exponential terms in r1, r2, and r12 have been investigated. Solutions were obtained for the singlet and triplet 1sns states for both integral and nonintegral values of the nuclear charge Z , and it is concluded that the 1sns manifold converges to a degenerate eigenvalue as Z→1 for all n≥2 .
